Adam Kinley opened operations in the tannery business in the western New York region in the mid-1800’s. His son, Lewis Kinley continued those operations until he started Kinley Oil Company – first incorporated in the state of New York in 1909. Then, James H. Kinley, son of Lewis, eventually changed the company name to Kinley Oil & Gas in 1954. Another name change happened in 1998 when J.L. Kinley, son of J.H.K., evolved the company to what it is known as today; Kinley Corporation. Currently, J.L. Kinley’s son, Jimmy Kinley is working out of the Texas office and is involved in all the operations in both of the companies.
